West Chiltington/ Thakeham:

  • Kinsbrook Vineyard (20 min) - The youngest couple to own a vineyard in the UK own Kinsbrook, they've just opened a beautiful Barn with a farm shop and dining space! They regularly host events 
  • The White Lion Thakeham (20 min)- wonderful seasonal fresh pub menu, very sweet and wholesome atmosphere 


Petworth way:

  • Near to Petworth is The Horse Guards Inn pub (30 min)- an exceptional pub and worth the journey! It's in demand so early booking is necessary
  • Cowdray Park (30 min): Farm shop, cafe and walking routes, wellness events etc. 
  • Langham Brewery (30 min) - Based in the south downs national park, we are an award-winning independent West Sussex brewery producing cask-conditioned real ale and keg beers.
  • Petworth has a market the first Saturday of every month but it's hard to park so arriving early is essential


Activties


Downslink 

  • Downslink - The Downs Link is a long-distance route for walkers, horse riders, runners and cyclists which follows two disused railway lines. It crosses the Surrey Hills, the Low Weald, the South Downs and the Coastal Plain. Since the trains departed in the 1960s, the embankments and cuttings have become a green corridor for wildlife and people.

  • Winkworth Aboretum - Winkworth Arboretum is a National Trust-owned arboretum in the spread-out civil parish of Busbridge between Godalming and Hascombe, south-west Surrey, England. The 95 acres arboretum was founded by Dr Wilfrid Fox, starting in 1938 and continuing through World War II
